Do you hold a current Forklift, Loading Shovel or 360 Excavator licence, and want to work Sunday to Thursday night?

If so, come and join our waste and recycling team at Parry & Evans, Deeside .

Overview of the role:

As a Yard Operative you will be responsible for tasks including; the loading and unloading of containers and curtain siders, recycling sorting, conducting machine checks, using plant machinery such as a Fork Lift, Loading shovel or 360 Excavator (as appropriate) and; ensuring good site housekeeping.

Hours:

Sunday - Thursday nights (40 hrs week).

Enhanced rate for Sunday hours + 10 per night shift allowance. (50 pw)

Salary:

12.89 per hour

What we'll need from you:

You must

- hold a current licence for at least one/ideally two of the following - Forklift, Loading Shovel or 360 Excavator

- have previous experience in using at least one of the following in a workplace environment - Forklift, Loading Shovel, or 360 Excavator.

- have awareness and understanding of Health & safety procedures on an industrial site

What you'll be doing as a Yard Operative

The main tasks of this role include, but are not limited to:

- Loading and unloading containers and curtain siders using a Fork Lift Truck

- Ensuring machinery and plant equipment are in good working order

- Undertaking daily checks on work areas and plant machinery

- Removing non-conforming materials from material bought to site

- Rotating stock around the site

- Ensuring good site housekeeping, including, the cleaning of the yard

- Ensuring Health & safety regulations are adhered to

- Ensuring the company's environmental polices and procedures are adhered to

- Liaising with the Weighbridge operator to understand daily inbound/outbound material and stock levels

- Any other reasonable tasks as directed by the manager
