Yard Operative

At Sigma Stone, we take pride in delivering high-quality stone products to our customers, with precision, care, and teamwork at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a reliable and proactive Yard Operative to join our Glasgow team.

Key responsibilities Include (But are not limited to):

Keep the yard clean, organised, and safe at all times. Ensure slabs are prepared and ready for cutting on the saw. Plan daily cutting requirements and prepare materials accordingly. Assist with the maintenance of machinery and equipment. Manage offcuts efficiently to minimise waste Handle and organise deliveries on a daily basis. Ensuring the Fitting Vans are loaded for the next working day.

Stone or granite experience would be an advantage, but not essential.

Normal hours are 7:00-3:30 overtime is often available and Saturdays are sometimes required in busy periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.50-14.00 per hour

Experience:

Yard Person: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Driving Licence (required) Forklift Licence (required)
