Overview

Owing to growth of the business, we are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Operative/Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to clients by maintaining a reliable servicing and delivery schedule, while ensuring the yard is organised and equipment is ready for hire.

This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively communicate with team members and manage various tasks related to yard maintenance and logistics.

Responsibilities

Maintain an organised, safe and clean yard environment. Service, clean and prepare hire equipment (toilets and welfare units/cabins), ensuring units are ready for hire within set timeframes. Deliver and collect toilets as required. Adhere to all safety regulations. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily tasks and ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills

:

Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment. Valid driving licence. Strong communication skills. Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting heavy materials when necessary. A proactive attitude towards safety and adherence to company policies.

Desirable Skills

:

Licence to operate a 7.5t vehicle with Driver CPC and Digital Card. FLT licence General maintenance skills would be advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
