Yard Operative

Equi-Trek are the leading manufacturers of equestrian and leisure vehicles, supplying to the UK and overseas.

We are currently recruiting for a

Yard Operative / Driver

to join our expanding business at our premises based in Stocksbridge.

The role of the

Yard Operative / Driver

is ensuring the smooth and safe organising/tidying of the yard of a busy dealership.

Working closely with the Workshop Supervisor, the

Yard Operative / Driver

will be responsible for moving vehicles in the yard, organising the space outside the dealership and assisting customers with deliveries and collections. It is

essential

that you can drive a

7.5 tonne

vehicle, and our ideal candidate would also hold a licence to drive the bigger vehicles.

Responsibilities:

Moving of vehicles & trailers in the yard, and generally keeping the yard organised & tidy. Carrying minor repairs on light commercial vehicles, horseboxes & trailers. Preparing vehicles for delivery- internal & external cleaning of used vehicles. Assisting with deliveries and collections- this may include collecting vehicles from customers or getting vehicles for MOT checks.

Requirements:

You will:

have a clean full driver's license (up to 7.5 t, however Class 1 would be advantage) be a trustworthy and honest team player; be able to follow specific instructions; have an organised and focused approach to tasks; be capable of working on own initiative; have pleasant and confident manner with excellent communication skills; display attention to detail with ability to work to & maintain high standards; be adaptable and able to re-focus when workshop priorities change;
This is a full-time permanent position.

The hours of work are between: 08:00 - 17:00 (Monday to Friday).
