Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard and ensuring that all materials are organised and accessible. This role requires a hands-on approach, the candidate must be fit and able as lifting of heavy and bulky items is required. Previous experience in the operation of FLT and a driving license is essential.
Duties
Advising and assisting customers with their purchases Loading and unloading vehicles Picking orders for collection or delivery Checking customer orders are booked out correctly Operating plant and machinery Working to deadlines Stock management Maintaining general cleanliness of work area
Skills
Experience of working in a timber or fencing background. Strong customer service approach Team player Great communication skills Articulate and numerate Able to lift reasonably heavy loads
Prefered Skills
Fencing and Timber Product Knowledge Fork truck license Full driving license Computer literate
