Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Person and Driver to join our friendly team. This role is vital in maintaining the presentation, efficiency and safety of our yard operations, including the movement, loading, and unloading of various goods including fencing, composts and aggrigate. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and a high standard to tidiness and accuracy. Duties

Safely load and unload of stock using a forklift with the appropriate license. Loading and then delivering orders to customers within our locality. Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist with yard organisation and tidiness. Assisitng customers and colleagues in the yard and store as required. Support route driving tasks such as shuttle driving or delivery runs, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety protocols. Communicate effectively with team members and drivers regarding schedules, vehicle status, or any operational issues.

Experience

Some experience of undertaking deliveries using a van or pickup. Experiece of using a forklift. Customer service or goods-in experience might be an advantage.
The usual hours of this position are:

Tuesday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a 30 minute lunch break and alternate weekends; Saturday 8am to 5pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm with a 20 minute break.

Pay: 26,500.00-28,000.00 per year
