Yard Shunter/ Warehouse Operative

Job Description
Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm Carrying out shunting duties including relevant maintenance and safety checks Completing vehicles downloads as per the company policy Assisting with fuel delivery / manual dip of fuel Liaising with the warehouse control and goods in staff to ensure smooth and efficient loading / unloading of trailers Keeping yard in clean / tidy condition Loading and unloading delivery vehicles on a stand on Electric Pallet Truck. Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse. Taking goods to the appropriate storage space. Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located quickly. Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse will also be part of the daily routine. Following workplace health and safety rules will be essential. Comply with Food Safety Regulations
Criteria:
Previous shunting experience required Good attention to detail and communication skills Experience of previously working in a busy environment
