Job Description
: Yard Man - Paint shop area
The Yardman is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all yard-based activities. This includes coordinating the movement of materials, preparing parts to be loaded for painters and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment. The Yardman will play a key role in supporting the wet paint shop production by ensuring materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there.
Key Responsibilities
Loading and unloading of paint shop booths to ensure painters can maximise output. Have parts organised, labelled and transferred to the yard for collection/delivery in a timely manner. Act as the main point of contact for our own internal transport. Communicate with the production office regarding changes or updates to deliveries and collections. Assist the blast and powder departments to ensure a consistent flow of materials to support ongoing work. Liaise with team members to coordinate job allocations and workflow. Maintain clear, effective communication with the production team and other stakeholders. Ensure all yard activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies. Coordinate planned maintenance of yard machinery and equipment to minimise downtime. Always monitor and maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard.
Experience
Proven experience operating forklift machinery in a busy environment Experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, and inventory control Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Basic mathematical skills for inventory counting and documentation purposes

Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour
