An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Yard/Nursing Assistant to join the team at our equine clinic in Preston, Lancashire. You will need to be motivated, proactive and work well within a team.

The role

You will be required to carry out all aspects of yard duties and maintenance and will be confident in handling horses.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

maintain a stable yard to a high standard, with previous experience desirable but not required

handle, trot up and lunge a wide variety of horses, from young stock to stallions

communicate confidently and effectively

be flexible and able to work overtime where required

Working pattern and remuneration

The job role is full time:

8 hour days, 40 hour working week with overtime, to include weekend and bank holiday work on a rota basis. Pay starting at minimum wage and will be assessed on a 6 monthly basis.
