Role Overview

Flexiproof Limited, a leading distributor of premium rubber roofing products across the UK, is looking for an organised, hard-working, and safety-focused Yardsman / Forklift Truck Operator to join our operations team.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of our busy yard and warehouse, ensuring goods flow smoothly in and out of our site, From unloading incoming deliveries and containers, to moving stock into the right locations, to loading outbound lorries for our customers -- you'll play a vital part in keeping our supply chain moving.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, enjoy working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, and take pride in keeping the yard safe, clean, and efficient. Key Responsibilities

Maintain a tidy, safe, and organised yard at all times. Unload deliveries into the goods-in zone, checking for accuracy and quality where required. Move stock efficiently between storage zones and picking areas. Unload containers using a container ramp and forklift in a safe, efficient manner. Load lorries and road transport trailers in line with company procedures and safety standards. Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper PPE usage. Perform daily forklift checks and report any maintenance needs. Assist with general warehouse and yard duties as required.

Experience & Skills Required

Minimum 1 year's experience operating forklifts

in a yard or warehouse environment. Valid forklift licence (Counterbalance or equivalent). Good understanding of health & safety practices in yard operations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling goods.

Desirable

Experience unloading shipping containers. Knowledge of safe manual handling techniques. Familiarity with basic warehouse management systems.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Comfortable with physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.

Pay: 29,000.00-32,000.00 per year
