A well-established primary school in Barnet (N11) is seeking a committed and enthusiastic

Key Stage 2 teacher

to join the Year 5 team on a

job share basis

. This role offers the opportunity to teach as part of a collaborative team, delivering a rich and engaging curriculum while maintaining high expectations for learning and wellbeing.

The Role

Teach a Year 5 class

2 days per week

(Wednesday and Friday)

Share full class teaching responsibilities

including marking, parent communication, assessment and planning (with agreed shared planning structure) Work closely with your job share partner to ensure

consistency and continuity

in teaching, routines and behaviour expectations Uphold the school's safeguarding responsibilities and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment Support pupils' academic and personal development through structured teaching, feedback and care
About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

with experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Upper KS2 A strong understanding of the National Curriculum, particularly for Year 5 Excellent communication and organisation skills for effective collaboration with your job share partner A proactive and reflective approach to teaching, planning and assessment Ability to build warm, respectful relationships with pupils and colleagues Committed to maintaining high expectations, inclusion, and positive behaviour strategies
