Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Primary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students, including those with special educational needs. This role requires creativity, patience, and excellent communication skills to effectively engage with young learners and support their academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students. Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, providing constructive feedback. Work closely with special education staff to support students with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. Foster relationships with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and school activities. Provide tutoring and mentoring to students who require additional assistance in their studies. Encourage creativity through activities such as creative writing, arts, and crafts. Maintain classroom discipline while promoting respect and understanding among students.

Skills

Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Knowledge of special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to mentor and tutor students in various subjects, adapting teaching methods as needed. A creative approach to teaching that inspires students' interest in learning. Familiarity with strategies for working with children on the autism spectrum is an advantage. A commitment to continuous professional development in teaching methodologies.
