Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the daily responsibilities.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring that products are handled with care and in accordance with safety standards. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the delivery van is in good working condition. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or damages encountered during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring a safe journey at all times. Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with experience in commercial driving preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading goods. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a warehouse environment is advantageous. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial.
