Bridge House is a new 4-bed transitional home for young adults, aged 18-25, with a learning disability and autism offering 3 year residential placements to develop life skills and confidence.

Job Summary
As a Behaviour Mentor Support Worker at Bridge House, you will play a vital role in supporting the young adults to overcome barriers, build resilience, and achieve their personal goals. Working closely with our small team and the young adults we support, you will help create a safe, structured, and empowering environment that fosters independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Build trusting, respectful relationships with our young adults, serving as a consistent and positive role model.
Develop and implement individualised behaviour support strategies tailored to each young person's needs and goals.
Facilitate one-on-one and group sessions to enhance social skills, emotional regulation, and self-esteem.
Collaborate with the Registered Manager and other team members to monitor progress and adjust support plans as needed.
Assist in creating and maintaining a homely, inclusive atmosphere that reflects the values of caring, honesty, ambition, motivation, and respect.
Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all the young people we support.
Requirements
Experience working with young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, preferably in a residential or educational setting.
Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Commitment to promoting independence and person-centered support.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of residents.
