We are now looking for a Youth and Community Projects Coordinator to take the lead in developing our youth engagement activities and managing our community cafe as a hub for local connection and opportunity.

The Role
As the Youth and Community Projects Coordinator, you will oversee the coordination and delivery of activities for young people, manage the day-to-day running of our community cafe, and lead a team of volunteers. You will also identify and secure grant funding opportunities to sustain and grow TIFA Life's community projects.
This role requires a motivated and compassionate individual with excellent organisational skills and experience in community or third-sector coordination.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and develop the community cafe as an inclusive, welcoming space for all.
Design, plan, and manage youth activities, workshops, and community events.
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, fostering a supportive team culture.
Identify and apply for grant funding to sustain and expand community projects.
Act as a mentor and advisor to young people, offering guidance and support.
Build relationships with local partners, schools, charities, and stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records and reporting in line with safeguarding and organisational standards.

Person Specification
Essential
Experience in youth work, community coordination, or third-sector project management.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Experience managing volunteers and community initiatives.
Good organisational and funding application skills.
DBS Enhanced Check (Children) or willingness to obtain before starting.
Desirable
Qualification in Youth Work, Community Development, or a related field.
Knowledge of local community networks within Swansea.
Experience managing or supporting a community cafe or similar community-based projects.
