Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mentor to support and guide young individuals in their personal and educational development. The ideal candidate will foster a positive environment, encouraging growth and resilience among youth. This role is essential in helping young people navigate challenges, build confidence, and achieve their goals through mentorship and support.

Duties

Provide one-on-one mentoring to youth, offering guidance and support tailored to individual needs. Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning and personal growth. Foster a safe and inclusive environment where young people feel valued and respected. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and community organisations to ensure comprehensive support for each mentee. Monitor progress and provide feedback to help youth set and achieve personal goals. Assist in the development of life skills through workshops or group activities. Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions and report on the progress of mentees.

Skills

Proven experience in teaching or working with children in an educational or recreational setting. Strong mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and motivate young individuals. Experience in youth work, demonstrating an understanding of the challenges faced by young people today. Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous, enabling tailored support for diverse needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with youth, parents, and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the development of young people. Pay: 24,420.00-26,512.79 per year
