Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated person, passionate about Youth Work who wants to see the lives of 12-18-year-olds and those up to 25 year olds with Special educational needs or disabilities (SEND), transformed though access to an exciting, fun and engaging Senior Youth Programme at our amazing Centre. You will be comfortable managing and leading a team in the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of our Senior sessions.

The Hunslet Club is a purpose-built youth club which exists to help children & young people reach their full potential. Role



Working alongside the Youth Work Lead to plan, organise and deliver the open access senior youth provision projects designed to facilitate the personal, social and emotional development of young people. Identify and develop opportunities for new youth activities

Management Supervision and Guidance



You will be responsible to the Operations Manager

Duties and responsibilities



Senior Youth Provision



Work alongside the Youth Work Lead to manage the Club's Youth Club provision including planning of activities and co-ordination of supervision and delivery. Ensure targets are met for example attendance Essential Safeguarding and behaviour management Planning and delivering CPD for staff Recruit and retain a high quality of passionate staff and volunteers To manage and develop teams of staff supporting and coaching them to deliver an exceptional youth offer Participate in promotional activities in local schools/community events to raise the profile of Youth activities at the Club Explore opportunities to develop our youth programme on an ongoing basis based on feedback and the ever changing needs of the young people and the area Working with different agencies and professionals Planning and delivering interventions Work with the funding officer to apply for funding, report writing and claims

Junior Youth Provision



Working alongside the Junior Youth Work Lead to ensure all sessions work together and fill in as an when required.

Volunteer Co-ordination



Manage the recruitment, induction and support programme for Youth Work volunteers Plan and deliver the Youth Volunteering Programme Actively seek opportunities to recruit new volunteers through relationships with appropriate agencies and local community groups

Alternative Education Programme



Provide support to learners participating in our Alternative Education Programme as required

General



Have an awareness of club priorities, activities and membership needs Contribute to the wider life of The Hunslet Club volunteering at club events Adhere to the Club's organisations policies and procedures at all times with particular reference to safeguarding Undertake any other duties as appropriate to the post or which may from time to time be reasonably determined by the Operations Manager or Chief Executive Officer

The Hunslet Club reserve the right to vary or amend the duties and responsibilities of the post holder at any time in accordance to the needs of the business
