Purpose of The Role
Join the BBC Children's & Education YouTube team as a YouTube Channel Manager helping to deliver creative excellence with a strategic vision. You'll be managing multiple YouTube channels, taking ownership of key brands and formats that connect with UK youth audiences. You'll understand how to produce first-class YouTube content, manage ongoing schedules and be able to communicate results and analytics to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Plan ongoing strategic schedules of YouTube first content across multiple genre-led channels
Work with internal teams to ensure content is authentic to the platform
Produce creative briefs and edits of top-quality YouTube content that speak to our audience
Use audience data and analytics to inform decision making and performance in line with KPIs
Keep abreast of current trends and perform ongoing competitor analysis
Essential Criteria
Experience managing branded YouTube channels is key - you'll have in-depth understanding of the platform, thumbnail strategies and performance optimisation.
An understanding of YouTube content for a youth audience
Proficient editing skills using Adobe Suite (Photoshop and Premiere Pro)
An understanding of YouTube analytics and how to use data to inform decision making
The ability to work with wider teams to brief content, develop ideas and feed back on performance to stake holders
Desired but not required
Experience working with TV productions
Experience working across other digital platforms, such as TikTok and Instagram
