Your Impactful Role
As a
Bank Residential Childcare Practitioner
, you'll provide stability, structure, and therapeutic care during times when our young people need consistency the most. You'll help maintain daily routines, support positive behaviours, and contribute to a warm, nurturing environment where young people can begin to heal.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Build strong, trusting relationships with children aged 10-18
Deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care tailored to individual needs
Support children through therapeutic and outdoor-based activities
Help maintain structure through consistent routines and guidance
Record observations and activities in line with regulatory standards
Collaborate closely with permanent team members to ensure continuity of care
What You Bring:
Experience in a residential childcare or similar care setting
A calm, grounded approach to emotional distress and behavioural challenges
Knowledge of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and therapeutic models
A full UK driving licence
Flexibility to work long day + sleep-in shifts (10am-11pm, sleep-in, 7am-10:30am)
