We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEND Tutor to work 1:1 with a primary-aged student with learning difficulties, social communication needs, anxiety. The student has attention regulation challenges and currently requires a highly personalised and nurturing approach to education. Responsibilities
Deliver customised tutoring sessions in subjects aligned with the tutor's expertise, ensuring clarity and understanding for each student
Assess individual student needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly to maximise learning outcomes
Support students with homework, exam preparation, and skill development activities
Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians as required
Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages motivation, confidence, and independence
Develop engaging educational materials and resources to enhance the tutoring experience
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to coordinate schedules and address any concerns or special requirements
Qualifications
Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children or young learners
Strong knowledge of the subject(s) taught and the ability to explain concepts clearly
Experience working with children, including those requiring special education support, is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students of diverse backgrounds
Organised, patient, and adaptable approach to individual learning needs
Relevant qualifications in education or specialised subject areas are advantageous but not essential
