About the Role
We are seeking an engaging and patient
KS1 Tutor
to deliver 1:1 and small-group sessions in
English, Maths, and Science
for learners with
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
. Learners may be working below age-related expectations and require a nurturing, adaptable approach to help them develop confidence, foundational skills, and a love for learning.
Responsibilities
Deliver structured, differentiated lessons matched to each learner's EHCP and academic targets.
Support literacy, numeracy, and early scientific thinking through creative, interactive activities.
Promote engagement and emotional regulation in a positive learning environment.
Record progress and provide feedback to senior staff and local authorities.
About You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or proven tutoring/teaching experience in SEND.
Experience working with learners with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, or anxiety.
Ability to tailor learning to meet individual needs and create positive, engaging lessons.
Excellent communication, record-keeping, and safeguarding awareness.
