Location: Accrington (within 12 miles - Blackburn & Rossendale welcome)

Part-time | Contracted | Optional 16-18 hours per week

We're seeking a soft-spoken, kind and reliable individual to support a bright, polite, and delightful man in his 30s. He uses a specialist wheelchair and has a complex physical disability affecting bone strength.

With your calm, caring presence, you will support his comfort, independence, and enjoy daily life.

This role is ideal for someone who values meaningful interaction, gentle outings, and consistent, friendly hours that fit well around nursery and school routines.

Applicants must be 25 or over for insurance requirements.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide person?centred care in a calm and safe home setting, as well as support with daily outings in a wheelchair?adapted vehicle.

You will be:

Empathetic, kind and calm in your approach Reliable, organised, and proactive Confident and comfortable with driving on motorways
Driving is a key part of this role. You will be fully insured to drive the adapted vehicle, so confidence behind the wheel and a genuine passion for driving are essential.

Hours Available (Choose What Suits You Best)

Option 1: 18 Hours Per Week

Wednesday: 09:00 - 16:30 Friday: 09:00 - 16:30 Sundays: 14:00 - 20:00 (Twice per month only)

Option 2: 16 Hours Per Week

Wednesday: 09:00 - 15:00 Friday: 09:00 - 15:00 Sundays: 14:00 - 20:00 (Twice per month only)

Option 3: 16 Hours Per Week (No weekends)

Wednesday: 09:00 - 16:30 Friday: 09:00 - 16:30
Flexible scheduling is available, with minimal to no weekends, while ensuring consistent and reliable support that meets the service user's needs.

Key Responsibilities

Promote independence and build confidence Provide personal care, including toileting, bathing, and dressing Drive to and attend medical appointments Assist with light household tasks and errands Accompany on enjoyable outings, including: Scenic drives Coffee shops and garden centres Local attractions and seaside walks Festive displays and entertainment shows
