Job Alert: SEN Teaching Assistant - Brixton

We are recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our partnered Primary School based in Brixton. This Full time, Long Term role is term time only and offers excellent stability, professional development and access to leading training programmes. The school is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant with previous experience supporting children with a range of SEN needs, including ASD (Autism, including non-verbal students), ADHD, learning difficulties and behavioural challenges. Experience working 1:1 and supporting small groups is highly beneficial.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant in this Primary School, you will be part of a nurturing, skilled team committed to helping pupils with Autism and other additional needs progress both academically and emotionally. Working in Brixton, you will play a vital role in creating an inclusive environment for children with Autism and a range of SEN needs.

Daily duties include:

Providing 1:1 support for pupils with Autism, ADHD and other SEN needs Leading or assisting small group interventions Supporting emotional regulation, communication and behaviour management Working closely with the SENCO and class teachers to deliver tailored support plans Adapting learning resources to meet individual pupil needs Assisting classroom routines and ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
