We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEND Tutor to work 1:1 with a year 7 student with learning difficulties, social communication needs, anxiety. The student has attention regulation challenges and currently requires a highly personalised and nurturing approach to education. Duties
Deliver one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in designated subjects, tailored to individual student needs
Develop customised lesson plans and learning materials to enhance understanding and engagement
Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
Support students with homework, exam preparation, and study techniques
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence and independence
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding student progress and areas for improvement
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student achievements
Skills
Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably with children or young learners
Knowledge of special education needs and inclusive teaching strategies is advantageous
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently
Organised with strong planning skills to develop effective lesson plans customised to individual learners' requirements
Passionate about education and committed to supporting student success
Ability to motivate students and adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles
