Sunrise Academy, Lowestoft 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year - Permanent Salary: 25,584 - 27,269 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience) Actual Salary: 21,717 - 23,148 per annum
We are seeking a committed and compassionate Special Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a child or young person with social, emotional, and mental health needs. This role is central to helping students access learning, build resilience, and develop the confidence and independence needed to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

Working closely with teaching staff, you will support lesson preparation and delivery, contribute to monitoring and assessment, and provide tailored assistance with personal and social development. You also play a key role in promoting positive relationships and modelling inclusive values throughout the school day, including during break times and transitions. Experience in a SEND or SEMH setting is desirable, alongside strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
