About the Pupil
The pupil has
Autism
, is
non-verbal
, and requires consistent support throughout the day, including with
personal care routines
. A thoughtful, patient, and nurturing approach is essential.
Ideal Candidate
We are seeking someone who:
Has
experience in Early Years
(EYFS) settings
Is confident and calm when supporting pupils with complex needs
Has previous experience working with
Autistic children
, preferably in a 1:1 capacity
Understands the importance of
inclusive education
and values the individuality of every child
Can maintain clear communication with class teachers, SENCOs, and parents
Is physically capable of assisting with
toileting and other personal care tasks
Responsibilities Include:
Supporting the child's
daily learning and development
Assisting with
personal care
sensitively and professionally
Encouraging communication through alternative strategies (e.g. visual aids, Makaton, PECs)
Ensuring a
safe and engaging environment
Collaborating closely with teaching staff and SEND professionals
