Monday to Friday, school hoursSynergy Education is working closely with a primary school in Falmouth to recruit a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide individualised support to a young female pupil with Down Syndrome. This is a long-term role with an immediate start, offering the chance to make a real difference in a child's learning and development.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support throughout the school day Assist with classroom activities, learning tasks, and communication development Promote independence, confidence, and inclusion Support social and emotional wellbeing Work closely with teachers, SENCO, and parents to meet the pupil's needs
Requirements:
Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs (experience with Down Syndrome desirable) Patient, caring, and positive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to adapt learning materials to suit individual needs DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
