About Us

Excel Tutors is East London's leading tuition centre and JCQ-approved private exam centre, supporting students for over 16 years. We specialise in tailored one-to-one and small group tuition from KS1 to A-Level, helping students build confidence, master core skills, and achieve exam success.

We are seeking committed and enthusiastic 11+ Maths and English Tutors to prepare students for grammar school entrance exams. This role is ideal for experienced tutors or graduates with strong subject knowledge and a passion for helping young learners succeed.

Responsibilities

Deliver focused and engaging 11+ Maths and English lessons to students aged 8-11

Prepare students for verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, comprehension, and problem-solving

Tailor lessons to suit different learning styles and ability levels

Track student progress and provide feedback to parents and centre managers

Maintain a positive and professional classroom environment

Requirements

Minimum of Grade 6 in GCSE Maths and English

Strong knowledge of the 11+ exam format and content

Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

Punctual, reliable, and committed to educational excellence
