We're currently expanding our team of
high-quality 11+ tutors
to support growing demand from families seeking support for entrance exams. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced educators who love helping children build confidence, develop key exam skills, and realise their potential.
About the Role
We're looking for passionate, knowledgeable tutors to deliver
in-person
lessons (not online) in one or more of the following 11+ subject areas:
English (comprehension, grammar, creative writing)
Maths (problem-solving, arithmetic, reasoning)
Verbal reasoning
Non-verbal reasoning
You'll work with individual pupils or small groups to:
Build subject knowledge aligned with entrance exam requirements
Develop students' confidence and exam technique
Use clear, engaging resources to make learning enjoyable and effective
Assess progress and communicate effectively with both parents and our team
Who We're Looking For
To apply, you must have:
Either QTS
ora
degree in a specialist subject
(English, maths, or related)
At least 100 hours of tuition experience
, ideally with primary-aged children
Strong knowledge of
11+ exam formats
used by Trafford grammar schools and/or local independent schools
Excellent written and spoken English
The ability to
travel
to homes and venues across Greater Manchester, South Manchester, Stockport, and Cheshire (
this role is not remote
)
You'll be a warm, confident communicator who can adapt your teaching to suit individual needs. You'll also be reliable, professional and committed to helping children succeed in a calm, supportive environment.
