1:1 Tutors

to support pupils in and around the Rugby area from the start of the new academic year in

September

If you hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Level 3 AET, TA Level 3, or HLTA), we'd love to hear from you!

The Role: 1:1 Tutor

As an 1:1 Tutor, you'll work

one-to-one with pupils

to deliver creative, personalised, and engaging sessions that help close learning gaps, build confidence, and spark a love for learning. You'll be supported every step of the way by the Chalkline team, with regular communication and progress monitoring.

You'll need to be flexible, patient, and enthusiastic, ready to adapt your approach to suit each learner's unique needs and energy.

Hours & Pay

You'll be paid

per hour of tutoring

, based on each pupil's individual learning plan. Schedules are agreed in advance, giving you clarity and control. We aim to assign sessions close to your home, but if travel exceeds 30 minutes,

a higher rate of pay

will be offered. Pay rates:

26-34 per hour

Weekly pay

You'll be classed as an

agency worker

, so there's no need to register as self-employed (but we can accommodate that too if you prefer).

What You'll Teach

Most pupils need support with

Maths and English

, and many experience gaps in learning or confidence. Sessions should be

fun, interactive, and engaging

, with the flexibility to change activities on the spot depending on how your pupil is responding that day.

When & Where

Sessions usually happen between

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

, with occasional after-school availability. Tutoring takes place in various settings, homes, schools, or agreed public venues--always arranged in advance for your convenience and safety.
