Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver with Warehouse management experience to join our small logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and vehicle care. Experience with curtain side and commercial driving is essential, along with a strong commitment to customer service and safety compliance. MUST HAVE A FORKLIFT LICENCE OR SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE, INCLUDING WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS.

Responsibilities

Safely operate rigid lorries and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to specified locations. Great can do attitude and desire to grow with the company. Dedicated to highest of industry standards and customer satisfaction. Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel consumption. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working order. Secure cargo appropriately using straps and curtains, adhering to safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs. Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery times or any issues encountered during transit. Adhere strictly to all road safety laws and company policies during driving duties. Use the PDA to scan and deliver accordingly. Use pump trucks safely and be experienced in manual and electric pump trucks. Support with FLT loading and unloading. Experience in Health and Safety standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within a pallet network. Valid driving licence suitable for operating large goods vehicles (LGV). Demonstrable experience in commercial driving, including safe handling of heavy vehicles. Knowledge of current road safety regulations and best practices for cargo securement. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to punctuality. Ability to work independently and responsibly during long hours on the road. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or routes as required. Up to date Driver CPC.

Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 50 per week
