Job Description

Due to exciting company growth, we are seeking a 1st Line IT Technical Support Engineer to join our busy technical support team.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in the I.T services industry coupled with the ability to quickly develop technical knowledge while exhibiting strong customer-facing skills.

This role offers the successful candidate an entry-level position within our established I.T. management consultancy, with the potential to internally progress through the ranks of the business.

Main duties and responsibilities:



Assisting our customers with day-to-day technical support issues. Providing client-facing technical services. Assisting with I.T sales and client projects.

Candidate technical prerequisites:



1 to 3 years experience working in a similar I.T. position. Knowledge of current Microsoft technology. This includes Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office. Some knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange. Knowledge of networking, virtualization, email messaging, disaster recovery & system security. Knowledge of I.T. hardware and appliances. This includes servers, PCs, laptops, routers, firewalls, and switches. Mac OS, iOS, and Android knowledge desirable but not essential. Microsoft certification(s) is desirable but not essential.

General personal requirements:



To work cohesively and efficiently as part of a team of I.T. professionals. Strong customer-facing skills. Professional telephone manner. Strong written and spoken communication skills, conveying ideas effectively. Highly motivated with the ability to work independently. A willingness to learn & develop existing skills. Great time management skills with the ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks and projects during busy periods. Smartly dressed. Hold a full UK Driving Licence & be able to perform onsite work.

Other requirements:



Eligibility to work in the UK. Willingness to be DBS checked upon employment. Occasionally being available for out-of-hours work. You will be primarily based in our satellite office in Warrington. However on the slight occasion, you may also need to travel and work at our HQ in Yeovil, Somerset.
This is a full-time position (40 hours a week).

Initial salary range: 25,400 - 27,000. Negotiable and based on experience.
