We now have an exciting opportunity for a River Dee Catchment Project Officer to join the CNPA, to lead on the co-production, coordination and delivery of the Dee Resilience Plan in close partnership with public sector partners, the Fishery Board and River Dee Trust, Dee Catchment Partnership, local communities and land managers.

The Role:




As our River Dee Catchment Project Officer, you will lead on the co-production, coordination and delivery of the Dee Resilience Plan in close partnership and building excellent working relationships with public sector partners, the Fishery Board and River Dee Trust, Dee Catchment Partnership, local communities and land managers.




As the Project Officer you will operate as part of a cross-organisational, Scottish Government team working across public bodies to champion a collaborative, systems-based approach to catchment management that integrates ecological, social, and economic outcomes. Meaning that you will be directly contributing to the knowledge base and understanding of best practice for place-based working in the environment sector within Scotland, and how to join up services for multiple benefits.

About You:




To be considered as our River Dee Catchment Project Officer, you'll need:




A degree, or equivalent, in relevant topic with either a relevant science or project management focus;




Demonstrable experience of success in project managing complex systems involving multiple partners;




Credible knowledge of catchment management, biodiversity loss and climate change drivers and impacts and ecosystem restoration;




Considerable experience of partnership working and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in delivering large scale restoration activities;




Demonstrable experience of stakeholder coordination, management and communication, balancing multiple interests and drivers, notable public policy agendas;




Articulate and excellent communication and interpersonal skills;




IT skills - word processing, spread sheets, data management and GIS;




Full UK driving licence or access to driver if disability prevents driving.
