The purpose of this post is to support implementation of groundbreaking Welsh legislation (the Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Act) and promote fair work through procurement and supply chains.###
Person specification
Revamp the Code of Practice on Ethical Employment in Supply Chains: Work with colleagues across departments to update the Code and explore options to improve its reach and impact.
Lead external engagement: Be the key contact for global responsibility in fair work procurement. Lead the secretariat for the Anti-Slavery Wales forum Supply chains and international sub-group, manage the global responsibility procurement external contacts, and support the Social Partnership Council and its Public Procurement subgroup on relevant matters.
Support Government Business: Lead Government Business and brief Ministers on relevant matters.
Provision of policy input: Support the Welsh Government's Social Partnership and Public Procurement Act and related guidance.
Implementation of new contract clauses: Help roll out construction management contract clauses and supporting guidance.
Collaborate across teams: Work closely with colleagues across the Welsh Government to deliver a unified approach to using every power and every lever to advance fair work.
Helping with other tasks on an ad-hoc basis to support the wider team and priorities when needed.
