Job summary
CIW is the independent regulator of social care and childcare. CIW registers, inspects and takes action to improve the quality and safety of services for the well-being of the people of Wales.
Job description
The post holder will report to the Senior Manager Projects, Data and ICT Services and will oversee the management of quality assurance, complaints, knowledge management, information security and FOI (Freedom of Information) / DPA (Data Protection Act) processes on behalf of CIW.
Person specification
Direct line management of 1 x HEO and 2 x EOs.
Lead on complaints handling for the organisation, providing expert advice and support, working closely with Senior Managers and Team managers supporting staff through complaint investigations.
Reviewing complaint investigation reports as part of a quality assurance role.
Lead complaint investigations on behalf of the organisation drafting correspondence and complaint investigation reports as appropriate.
Provide quarterly briefing and detailed analysis to SLT (Senior Leadership Team) on details of complaints received and progress to date.
Lead on the implementation of a quality assurance framework, reporting on quality assurance processes and systems, driving continuous improvement through the organisation.
Oversee the management of analytical requirements for the Quality Assurance Framework.
Support the Information Asset Owner/Manager through the management of knowledge management, information security (including sharing and transfer) and FOI/DPA processes and reporting.
Support the Information Asset Owner/Manager in their responsibility for the security of data transferred and held in CIW.
Oversee the work of the Quality and Information Manager, providing advice and guidance on information security, Freedom of Information Requests and data protection.
Produce accurate and timely papers, reports and briefings for the Senior Leadership Team / Executive Leadership Team and in relation to identified business priorities.
