Job description

Location:

Contract Type:

About this opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Care Experienced Team, supporting young people as they transition from care into independence. You will play a vital role in shaping a service that champions the voices of care leavers, ensuring they receive the support, guidance, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Our Care Experienced Team provides statutory support and pathway planning for young people aged 16-25, helping them to build positive futures through education, employment, housing, and emotional wellbeing. As Team Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving forward improvements in our practice, embedding our vision of outstanding, relationship-based support for every young person.

The Role

You will lead and develop a dedicated team of Personal Advisors, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, consistent service that meets our statutory duties and reflects our commitment to care-experienced young people.

We are seeking a Team Manager who is not only skilled in leading practice but passionate about inspiring and developing others. You will bring the energy and vision to motivate your team to deliver outstanding, young person-centred work, ensuring consistency, creativity, and high standards in everything you do.

As a role model, you will champion our practice model and demonstrate our values in action -- showing compassion, integrity, and a commitment to making a difference. You will support your team to grow in confidence and capability, celebrating their successes while guiding them through challenges.

You will also play a key role in driving forward service improvements, analysing performance, and implementing changes that enhance outcomes for care leavers. Working closely with colleagues across children's services, education, housing, health, and partner agencies, you will help ensure that our young people have every opportunity to achieve their potential.

Who we are looking for...

We are looking for a confident, reflective, and compassionate leader with:
Proven experience in managing or supervising staff within a social care setting. A deep understanding of the needs, rights, and experiences of care-experienced young people. The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with young people, colleagues, and partners. Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills. A commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and improvement in practice.

Above all, we are looking for a leader who believes in collaboration and partnership, someone who can build strong relationships with colleagues, partners, children, and families alike. If you are dedicated to creating a positive culture where care leavers' voices are heard and their needs are at the heart of decision-making, we would love to hear from you.
