Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Duties

Operate a 3.5 tonne vehicle for the delivery of goods to various locations. Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly during transit. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer queries or concerns.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to operate flatbed vehicles safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Experience in warehouse operations is advantageous. A valid driving licence appropriate for 3.5 tonne vehicles is essential. A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance on the road.
