Job Summary

This is a self-employed position. We are seeking a reliable and skilled 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of sofas to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of commercial driving regulations. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our deliveries are completed on time and that customer satisfaction is maintained.

Responsibilities

Operate a 3.5 tonne maxi van to deliver goods to designated locations safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns professionally.

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence for 3.5 tonne vehicles. Must be over 25 for insurance purposes Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers. Must work well in a team as you will be a two man crew. Must be physically fit, as the role involves lifting and moving goods.
