Job Overview


We are seeking a talented and creative 3D Designer to join our dynamic team. As 3D garment designer you will play a pivotal role within the design process in creating 3D garments for design concept to virtual sampling. The role will take 2D designs and translate these into 3D garments from modifying patterns on existing blocks and creating new ones. This will be require working closely with the design and development team to translate their vision into 3D blocks.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES



Translating 2D sketches/tech packs/patterns, into virtual prototypes for assessing fit, drape, and overall design aesthetics, minimizing the need for physical samples.

Supporting the pattern team with uploading, dressing, virtually sewing up the 3D garments, ensuring the fitting works on our virtual avatar before we progress to sign off and possible sample.

Managing our current customized avatars, blocks styles, and core fabric trims and colours

Creating clear and concise technical packs with the information required for each block, including pattern measurement chart and construction detail for production.

Working alongside fit sessions for proto and PPS samples and ensuring the 3D block reflects the actual garments.

Working closely with the product developers to ensure the design concept has been captured correctly from the design, fit and visualisation of the 3D Sample.

Comprehensive knowledge of designing garments, garment construction, fitting garments, sizing garments/making garments/checking garments and making sure they are to spec.

SKILL /REQUIREMENTS



Qualification to degree level or similar with a Fashion Design/Textile management.

Excellent understanding of garment construction within a production environment.

Good understanding of team sportswear design from colour, style, shape and branding.

Good understanding of Jersey and woven fabrics from a fit, performance and technical knowledge.

A good knowledge of Men's/Ladies and Kids apparel in a production environment and helping with Q/C issues

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, and a willingness to stay current with the latest trends and innovations in pattern making and garment technology.

Adaptive to change, excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, ambition and effective communication skills.

Confident in decision making and can perform effectively under pressure and within timescales.

Working alongside all our 3D design packages to ensure consistency and staying informed about new updates and trends in the market

DESIRABLE



Knowledge of 3D (V-Stitcher or any other 3D software such as Clo or Optitex.)

Understanding of Lectra/Adobe/Sublimation design for sportswear

A good knowledge of Sportswear product.

Valid Driving License

Ability and willingness to travel when necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 28,000.00-32,000.00 per year
