RAM Peripherals Ltd is a growing UK-based company specialising in 3D printers, label printers, and disc publishing systems.
Having successfully established ourselves in the 3D printing space, we are now expanding our technical services offering.
We are a small, ambitious team and are looking for a dynamic and technically skilled engineer who can both support our customers and help grow our new service business.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of additive manufacturing technology within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Repair, install, and support 3D printers and related hardware
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repairs on Disc Duplication Systems
Provide telephone, email, and on-site technical support
Support repairs of third-party equipment where viable
Identify and bring in new service opportunities (repairs, servicing, maintenance)
Assist with evaluating and supporting new 3D printing technologies
Conduct field service visits to manufacturing facilities to diagnose issues onsite and implement effective solutions promptly.
Collaborate with the sales teams to provide customer support, training, and technical guidance on 3D printing systems.
Attend customer sites across the UK for installations, servicing, and repairs (company car provided)
Maintain accurate records for repairs, configurations, stock, and service activity
Bring in new technical business through customer relationships, recommendations, and proactive outreach
Begin working on our 3D Print Farm with new business development.
Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with 3D printers (FDM, SLA, or similar)
Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software faults
Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
Commercial awareness - able to spot opportunities to turn technical work into revenue
Full UK driving licence
Proven experience in industrial mechanic work within a manufacturing facility environment.
Excellent customer service skills combined with strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues quickly.
Fluency in English required.
