Responsibilities

Ensure all company policies and procedures are complied with including Technical & H&S


Ensure all departmental KPIs are met on time and in full, whilst maintaining high quality food safety standards

Ensure all daily documentation and procedures are followed, records are maintained relating to quality, training and H&S.

Assist in driving down all forms of waste.



Drive GMP, lead and demonstrate 'What Good Looks Like'.

Create a good positive working relationship with your team and other departments.

Ensure the department is 'Audit' standard at all times.

Experience / Qualifications:

Food Hygiene Level 2

Essential

Basic Food Hygiene experience


Good Literacy & Numeracy skills



PC literate



Understanding of HACCP

Desirable:

Previous Dairy / Cheese Industry experience

The 4 on 4 off Dairy Operative plays a key role in delivering the daily manufacturing plan while upholding the highest standards of food safety, product quality, and Health & Safety. The role ensures all company procedures, documentation, and compliance requirements are followed accurately and consistently.



You will support departmental performance by contributing to core KPIs including plan attainment, yield, waste reduction, GMP, and micro standards. A strong focus on maintaining audit readiness, driving good manufacturing practice, and supporting continuous improvement is essential.



The ideal candidate is systematic, detail-focused, and able to work confidently within structured processes. They will demonstrate strong teamwork, clear communication, and a positive attitude, while helping to build a culture of high standards across the department. Essential skills include basic food hygiene knowledge, literacy, numeracy, and computer proficiency, with an understanding of HACCP. Previous dairy or cheese industry experience is desirable.
