4x4 plus Trailer, vehicle collection/delivery professional

700.00 per week, Self employed

VQS are the largest independent supplier of vehicle inspections in the UK. We operate nationally at client locations and provide full UK coverage with field-based inspections. Our inspect and collect service combines high quality costed inspections with a cost-efficient logistics service. We work with vehicle manufacturers, leading financial institutions, fleet and leasing businesses, and nationally recognised daily rental and car subscription operators and collect and deliver new and used vehicles to locations across the country from our offices and hubsites throughout the UK.

We're looking for a 4X4 plus Trailer Driver to join our team to complete collections and deliveries for our fast-growing organisation. You will be in contact with our team to discuss timing details, re-route plans and other essential information as well as liaising with customers over the phone and in person. This requires excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver to a specified location on time and with accuracy.

If you have any vehicle Inspection or bodyshop background, that would be advantageous, but not essential.

What you'll need:

Licence BE, CE or C1E

Valid CPC

Valid Tachograph Card

A minimum of 10 years UK driving experience

A minimum of 1 years Trailer Driving experience

No more than 3 points on your licence

Aged 30+ for insurance purposes

Able to provide a basic DBS check within first 30 days (refunded)

How it works:

We operate a number of 4x4's with Trailers, plus purpose built Recovery Vehicles with Trailers.

You will need to be able to commute to DE6 Ashbourne each day to collect the 4x4 plus trailer from our Secure compound.

A plan will be sent to you each evening showing where the next days collections and deliveries are from and to.

You will need to use the in-house system via a free to download app on your phone where you record the condition of the vehicle.

Keep in frequent contact with the office and customers to provide ETA's.

All collections are planned "end of contract lease" or demonstration fleet.

There are no repossessions or accident damage. All vehicles are generally 24 months max and runners.

Please note Pre planned Nights-out may be required from time to time
