7.5 Tonne Driver and Install Technician

Responsibilities:

- Operate a 7.5-tonne truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and report any maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries

Qualifications:

- Valid driver's license with the appropriate class for operating a 7.5-tonne vehicle
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, such as a forklift, if required
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

Details:

Full time - 40hrs per week. Mainly 8am-4pm Some early starts will be required as well as some later finishes due to workload and traffic. Any additional hours worked above the 40 hrs will be paid as overtime at standard hourly rate. Bank holiday cover is higher rate. Starting salary will be 27k with the ability to earn 29k once fully trained.
