Delivering daily throughout England, Scotland and Wales, you will be required to load, check and deliver palletised metal goods in line with customer order requirements. FLT driving when not on the road and other duties within the factory - palletising and wrapping alongside keeping vehicles washed, hoovered and in a clean condition. The role requires flexibility of hours as there will be some early starts and later finishes depending on requirements.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Act as primary driver of the 7.5t vehicle.
Daily checks and first-use checks (includes vehicles, trailers, and forklifts).
Carrying out routine maintenance on all vehicles (washing/hoovering/washer fluid/tyre tread depth/windscreens etc.).
FLT Driving.
Palletising, wrapping & loading goods.
Drivers must understand their responsibilities and be proactive in keeping up to date with any changes to the law and Company procedures.
Key skills:
Full UK driving licence with C1 entitlement (A licence check code will be required).
Experience and knowledge of road worthy standards & legal requirements (weight limits and driving hours).
Experience and knowledge of tachograph reporting.
Must have the ability to drive 7.5 tonne vehicles (CPC and Digi Tacho card required).
Mechanically minded and previous experience of basic vehicle maintenance advantageous.
Ability to work on own initiative.
