We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team at Buy It Direct in Castle Donington.

The Role

As a 7.5T Driver, you will be responsible for delivering bulk orders to trade sites and helping with unloading and handling items such as furniture, electricals, and white goods.



When 7.5T work is not available, you will drive our multi-drop Luton vans and support the delivery operation to customers' homes.



As the face of Buy It Direct, you'll provide a friendly, professional service at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out daily vehicle and load checks before departure Drive a 7.5T vehicle and, when required, a multi-drop Luton van or act as driver's mate Ensure the vehicle and load are secure at all times Remove old products/appliances for recycling Complete all delivery administration, including proof of delivery on an electronic device or paperwork Sort and offload returns, old appliances and packaging Complete de-brief procedures at the depot at the end of each shift

Person Specification

Full UK 7.5T (C1) driving licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph Card No more than 6 penalty points and no significant accidents in the last 5 years Flexible around start times Polite, professional and customer-focused A strong team player, prepared to work as part of a delivery crew Reliable, punctual and conscientious Physically fit and able to lift and manoeuvre large appliances and bulky items
