Overview

We are seeking a professional and reliable

7.5 Tonne Driver

to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a

7.2-tonne curtain-sider vehicle

to deliver

palletised goods and parcels

efficiently across various locations, including

regular deliveries into central London

. This position offers a stable Monday-to-Friday schedule and the opportunity to work with a supportive, professional transport team.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a

7.2-tonne curtain-sider vehicle

to complete scheduled deliveries and collections. Deliver a mix of

palletised goods and parcels

to commercial and residential locations. Navigate and deliver efficiently within

central London

, adhering to all traffic and congestion rules. Load and unload goods, ensuring items are properly secured during transit. Plan and manage delivery routes to maximise efficiency and meet delivery deadlines. Conduct daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects or maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery records, paperwork, and logs. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies. Communicate effectively with customers and the operations team regarding schedules, delays, or issues.

Requirements

Valid

UK Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) driving licence

. Minimum

2 years' experience

in commercial driving. Proven experience driving in

central London

traffic conditions. Experience operating

curtain-sider vehicles

preferred. Strong knowledge of

safe loading and securing

of pallets and parcels. Excellent driving skills and a

clean driving record

. Good organisational and time-management abilities. Physically fit and capable of manual handling and loading tasks. Flexibility for early starts or occasional late finishes when required.

Monday to Friday

(no weekends)
