Overview

We are seeking a reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team for the transportation of goods, requiring excellent driving skills and a professional attitude.

A Class 2 License is not required if the successful candidate passed their driving test prior to January 1997 and has acquired 'Grandfather' rights on their Driving License.

Laminates Ltd will fund the 35 hours CPC training in order to activate the ability to drive the necessary vehicles.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service while ensuring timely deliveries.

Duties

Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the delivery of goods to various locations. Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively.

Requirements

Valid UK Class 2 driving licence

or

with 'Grandfather' rights for driving a 7.5T vehicle. Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to lift heavy items safely as required during loading and unloading processes.
