Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be required to drive our Caged tippers and collect Waste from our various strip out sites across London and take the Waste to the tip. Your standard eight hour day will start at 6:30 am from our yard in Tolworth and finish whenever you return to the yard , approximately 8 to 10 hours per day. Wages will be paid a week in lieu every Friday.

This position is for Monday to Friday with optional Saturdays, we work all year round apart from two weeks off when we shut down for Christmas.

Please note this position is permanent although you will be working on a self-employed basis so you will need a UTR number.

Responsibilities

Operate a 7.5 tonne tipper lorry for collection of waste. The candidate should ideally have good knowledge of Of Londons roads and how to operate a telegraph. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy and compliant with safety regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and vehicle logs. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management.

Skills

Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle. Willing and able to help with loading whenever necessary. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Ability to operate tipper vehicles safely and efficiently. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
