Morrells Woodfinishes are a market leading British company originating from 1902 specialising in high performance wood finishes, with a significant European brand profile and reputation as part of RPM International Inc.

We develop, manufacture and distribute a full range of high performance wood finishes as well as offering a bespoke colour-matching service for paints, stains and tinted lacquers.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate to join the business as an 7.5T Driver on a permanent basis. The working hours are 7pm - 4am Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

Load and deliver palletised goods safely and in accordance with delivery manifests. Ensure all delivery paperwork is presented correctly upon delivery to each appropriate branch. Collect all returns, samples and empty pallets/baskets from each branch daily. Branches are safely locked and alarmed upon departure. Unload vehicle safely upon return to Biggleswade. Keep the fuel card safe and only use for delivery vehicle fuel and oil where appropriate. Ensure that all necessary vehicle checks are carried out. VC40 Daily, Vehicle Inspection & Safety Equipment Checklist weekly. That the vehicle is kept clean and tidy and remains a safe working order in line with FTA regulations, including servicing and any other required maintenance. To be flexible and be available for cover in other areas if required. Make sure that the branches are left secure and that all goods are delivered in a safe place. Make sure that the goods delivered are free from damage and any discrepancies/issues are reported immediately. Make sure that the best route is used to keep fuel consumption low whilst delivering to all branch destinations on time. Make sure that the vehicle is maintained in accordance with the servicing schedule and that the correct ADR and PPE equipment is carried at all times. To remain correctly dressed and present a smart, professional image at all times. To carry out any other reasonable tasks as required

Successful candidates will have the following:



Valid UK Driving Licence ADR Licence Desirable Proven ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines in order to meet customer expectations. Committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of co-workers and the environment. A willingness to adapt to changing business needs. A positive attitude, even in difficult situations Strong team working skills Ability to work independently
