About the role:
IT Services are responsible for all aspects of information-technology support and delivery across our University, providing a first-class experience to our students, staff and other stakeholders as they pursue their studies and work both on-campus and beyond.
This is your opportunity to join our Academic IT Services Team in Chelmsford, delivering a comprehensive onsite support function for all the specialist student facing IT provision. As part of the role, you will provide on-site and remote technical support to staff and student users.
With a degree, part qualified relevant professional qualification or demonstrable level of experience and continued development, you will be proficient with a broad range of common computer hardware and frequently used desktop applications. You will have familiarity with supporting users in a busy corporate-scaled network environment.
Using ITIL-based processes to deal with incident and service requests, you will be involved in a wide variety of technical challenges, advice and preventative maintenance in support of the University's teaching, research and administrative functions on both our Chelmsford and ARU Writtle Campuses.
